Pepper Steak with Egg Noodles

Jump to Recipe

So after a crazy busy day I am on my way out the door for culinary school. I have my really attractive knife carrying case and all my beautiful knives, my new chef’s coat, my non slip shoes and a snack for the road. If you could only see me right now….

But before I leave, being the amazing girlfriend that I am, I made Thomas dinner. Pepper steak is one of the first meals I ever made Thomas and he loved it and still does today πŸ™‚ So since its quick and simple that is what I made tonight.

Pepper Steak with Egg Noodles

Course Main Course, Dinner

Ingredients

  • Steak - sliced into 2 inch strips you can really use any kind but I used chuck
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • olive oil
  • 1 large beef bouillon cube
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1/2 pound of egg noodles
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  • In a large pot of boiling water, add your pasta and cook until done. Once done, drain and set aside. In a large skillet coat the bottom of the pan with olive oil. Then add your chopped onions, red peppers and garlic. Saute over medium high heat for about 6 minutes. Then add your steak and 2 bouillon cubes. Let these flavors combine for a few minutes and meanwhile combine the flour and water in a small bowl and whisk together. Then add the flour mixture to your steak and mix all the ingredients together. Turn off your burner and then add your pasta to the steak or serve separately!
