Garlic Roasted Potatoes

Omg you guys! We have so much to talk about today. First, Happy Monday!!

A: How on earth is it already November?

B: Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Being the obsessively organized person I am, I have already planned my entire menu. (I did it in September) It’s going to be epic, and I’ll be sharing all the recipes here, well before the big day, so you have plenty of time to plan your menu too!

C: One of my all-time favorite people, Ree from The Pioneer Woman, just came out with her latest cookbook and I spent the entire weekend drooling over every recipe. It’s called The Pioneer Woman Cooks: A Year of Holidays: 140 Step-by-Step Recipes for Simple, Scrumptious CelebrationsĀ and I’ve decided that I’m inviting myself over to her house for every holiday from here on out. Christmas, New Years, Valentine’s Day, Easter… you name it… all of her holiday menus are out of this world!

D: In honor of Ree’s gorgeous new book, she is offering up Ā 3 signed copies!! Boooyah! We’re kicking off Monday with a bang.

E: I made a batch of her Garlic Roasted PotatoesĀ yesterday and proceeded to fight my husband over who got the last bite. They are game changers – that is for sure!

F: If you haven’t already ordered yourself a copy, you absolutely should!! Like I said, this book is LOADED with fantastic holiday recipes for an entire calendar year, and each page is infused with Ree’s bubbly personality and humor. I’d like to jump right in and live somewhere between Christmas and 4 of July!

  1. I look forward to being with family and friends like we all do. My favorite part besides the delicious food is when we go around the table and say what we are the most thankful for.

  2. This Thanksgiving the Green Bay Packers are playing so everyone is looking forward to that. But besides that after dinner we all gather round and play a game….young and old alike. It’s a great time, we all laugh.

  3. I am looking forward to seeing my loved ones this Thanksgiving. I live 3 1/2 hours away from home, and it’s so nice when I get to come home and spend time with them!

  4. I’m looking forward to spending time with family. It’s rare we all get a chance to sit down together.

  5. Reflecting on what’s truly important; I’ve lived in a Communist country and lost
loved ones to war, so I realize how blessed we truly are to live in the USA!

  6. My family started a new tradition a few years back now that they are all grown with children of their own. That we go to PCB for the week and we all pile into one condo and take the boat. We fish, we play on the beach and we cook our Thanksgiving dinner there together !

  7. I am looking forward to EVERY food item. As a single person who loves to cook & bake, it’s rare that I take the time to do so for me on a daily or weekly basis, so no holds barred on Thanksgiving; we will eat very well!! I hope everyone is able to have a special Thanksgiving with friends or family.

  8. Since I live in Canada, our Thanksgiving is over šŸ™‚ But I brined my first Turkey this year, and it was fabulous!

  9. I love having the whole family together. Thanksgiving means Christmas is just around the corner. Another fun family holiday!

  10. Thanksgiving is the door to the holiday season. Looking forward to spending time with family and friends and filling my house with wonderful warm smells from the turkey, pumpkin pie, etc. Plus, its the one time a year I make duck breast!

  14. I always used to dread Thanksgiving, because I *whisper* (don’t like turkey). When I got married, my dearest hubby introduced me to the Jones tradition of Tacos for Thanksgiving. Now I don’t have to eat turkey, or cook it, or eat leftover turkey, or clean the kitchen!….. We eat tacos and decorate the tree.

  15. I look forward to Thanksgiving for a time to be with my family, spoil them with home cooking and special desserts. It’s one day I get to see all my grandkids and kids at the same time. Great fun and fellowship and lots of good food!

  16. I look forward to spending the day w/my family.. my mom always makes creamed onions..and they are so delicious.. we all pitch in and cook something so it’s not all on one person. And of course, always look forward to pumpkin & pecan pies!!!!
