I’m going to start with the fact that I can’t really call this a recipe. I mean there are only 2 ingredients. Does that make it a recipe? I don’t know. Here’s what I do know… you need a Blood Orange Mimosa in your life stat. Maybe 2 or 3 even. They changed my life a few weeks back while we were up in Santa Barbara and I’ve been obsessing over them ever since. Not to mention, look at that pretty pink color. I want all my mimosas to look like that forever and ever. Kthanksbye
But no, really. Let’s make these. They are pretty excellent for Sunday brunch. Or fun for a little girls night dinner. Or a cute little date night cocktail. Here’s my one word of advice, if you’re going to make these, make them one day and then take a day or two off. Don’t be like me (and drink them 5 days in a row) and pretend that you’re still 21 and in your prime college days where you could drink a few drinks on a daily basis and still manage to make it to class, write a A+ worthy paper, play on the tennis team, and hold down an internship. Ya, it just doesn’t work like that anymore.
Needless to say, I was hurting this weekend. Who said 3 day weekends were relaxing? I beg to differ. 3 day weekends are rough. And I’m just now feeling better. I see a juice cleanse in my near future.
But until then…. are you ready to make some mimosas? Okay let’s do this.
I have been loving blood oranges in cocktails lately. Makes them so beautiful! I need to try this idea before they go out of season!
Welcome back! 🙂 These look so refreshing and yummy!
Oooh will have to try this!
I’ve been LOVING almond champagne lately, wonder how a mimosa with that would taste?
Agreed, I love the coloring. And you are so right, drinks at this age vs. college days -wow.

What a perfect twist on a classic, and the pink color is so fun! You’ve got me hooked.
These look so yummy! I do a “Friday Favorites” post every week on my blog, and this week I am doing a round up of mimosa recipes in preparation for Mother’s day coming up! I am definitely going to link to this one!
Enjoy the rest of your week! 🙂
