Ingredients

  • 3 3/4 cups AP Flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter at room temp
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Pretzel M&M's
  • 1 cup chopped pretzels
  • sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • In a large bowl sift together the flour, baking soda and salt and set aside.
  • In a stand mixer, combine the butter and sugars until smooth. About 3 minutes. Beat in the eggs and vanilla and scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix. Stir in the chocolate chips, pretzel M&M's and chopped pretzels.
  • Using a 1/4 cup scoop, scoop the dough onto the baking sheets. 6 cookies per baking sheet since they are jumbo! Using the palm of your hand, flatten out the cookies a bit and sprinkle with a touch of sea salt.
  • Bake the cookies for 12 minutes until the edges just barely turn golden brown. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cookies cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. Repeat the process with the remaining dough.

  1. My all-time favorite cookie is oatmeal raisin with cinnamon. I like them so they are crispy with just a little bit of softness on top.

  2. Oh totes – my go to, easy, can make ’em in my sleep, favorite recipe is oatmeal, double chocolate chip (milk/dark), dired cranberry cookies. Sweet/tart/chewey heaven. Family(boys) LOVE.

  3. A fresh chocolate chip cookie right out of the oven – still with that doughy texture and the (dark) chocolate melty. Maybe with pecans for crunch!

  4. I’m not sure you can call them “cookies” per se, but every year for Christmas, my mom makes 7-layer bars–graham chracker crust, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, pecans, and coconut (okay, so maybe 6 layers). They taste good cold or warm, but when warm, they fall apart, all gooey with the milk and the chocolate making a layer of sweetness… Shoot. I might have to go make some now…

  5. Mine is chocolate chunk and walnut cookies. I love them crisp with gooey bits of chocolate and the buttery crunch of walnuts. A good sprinkle of sea salt would elevate them to a heavenly status!

  6. There is a delicious rosemary shrortbread that I found that is so buttery and perfect. They are great right out of the oven, maybe even better the next day and even 3 days later, they still are slightly crisp and still soft inside. Not too sweet either. Just perfect!

  7. My fav cookie is a chocolate chip walnut cookie that is soft & gooey in the middle, yet crisp on the outside …YUM!!

  8. My favorite cookie is chocolate chip. There is a local bakery that has the best version. The cookie isn’t overly sweet and they use high quality chocolate. The cookie is thick with the perfect chewy texture. This bakery sprinkles sea salt on top providing the sweet salty combo that can’t be beat. I bake several versions of chocolate chip cookies, but this bakery’s version is the best!

  9. Peanut butter cookies, every time. And plain, with nothing added to mar the perfect peanut buttery-ness of them. They have to be slightly underbaked too so they’re a bit smooshy. And, in a pinch, if there’s no pb or someone’s allergic, oatmeal cookies with any combination of the following: chocolate chips (white preferably), toffee pieces, dried cranberries….om nom nom.

  10. My absolute favorite & most amazing cookies in the world would have to be Chocolate Crinkles! The bonus is that they sort of decorate themselves! They are a deliciously soft, fudge-like cookie that are encased in a generous coating of confectioners sugar. The name “Crinkle” probably refers to how the powdered sugar “crinkles” or “cracks” as the cookies bakes, revealing a little of the chocolate underneath. This must be why they are often referred to as “Black and Whites”. I love to eat these Chocolate Crinkles warm from the oven when they are so wonderfully soft and just seem to melt in your mouth 🙂

  11. My fav are cherry dark chocolate walnut cookies, the balance of flavors are great and I can pretend they are a bit healthy with the walnuts in them 😉

  12. hmm… I love Orange Cookies. A little flat, a little fluffy, with a nice citrus glaze on top. They’re so refreshing, it doesn’t seem like you’re over-eating, so you can have even more!

  13. I’d have to say a good chocolate chip cookie. I love to use semi sweet chocolate, cut into chunks. The outer a bit crispy with a chewy centre… oh yum! The best part about making your own cookies is licking the bowl, beaters, and fingers, getting to use the highest quality of ingredients, and eating them warm right out of the oven with a coffee. So guess what I’ll be making this afternoon 🙂

  14. My favorite cookie is oatmel chocolate chip. I just love the combo they make in a chewy soft cookie!!

  15. My favorite cookie is Panera’s Toffee Nut. It’s chewy, buttery and has bits of fabulous toffee and brazil nuts.
Oh my gosh – I want one now!! I want to try to recreate them at home, but then again that could be very dangerous 🙂

  16. oh my, I think my favorite is oatmeal! You can dress it up or leave it original and still great! My biggest reason tho I think is because my mom started making them for , not as a kid but as an adult when I would come to visit, and I now always make them for my grands when they come to visit!

  17. Oh gosh. Chocolate Chip cookies are the best. I absolutely love them. They’re simple but when made just right they are amazing!

  18. Gooey, warm, chocolate, and lots and lots and lots and lots of butter!!!! Go Paula Deen!!!!!!

  19. My all-time, resistance-is-futile, favorite cookies are Snickerdoodles. I have loved them since childhood. My grandmother used to make a variety of cookies and Christmas and serve them on a platter. I would pick through all of them to find the Snickerdoodles which were buried beneath other, more colorful, holiday cookies. I absolutely adore their cracked appearance, and crunchy, cinnamon-sugary crunchiness, which contradicts the soft center. It’s sweet bliss!

  20. My favorite cookie is my grandmother’s cutout sugar cookie. She used to make them for me every year, but now I carry on the tradition. They are thin, crispy, and buttery good. Plus you can make them into ANY shape you want and decorate them with ANY colored sugar. Endless fun and now I’m craving them!

  21. I absolutely love oatmeal chocolate chip, preferably with milk chocolate (although cookies in general are by far my favorite dessert/treat). The oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I make are fairly crispy and the oatmeal does a good job of balancing the rich sweetness. I try other versions everywhere I go and I’ve only ever found one bakery whose cookie rivaled my own. They eventually published a cookbook that included the recipe and it was my exact recipe!! I consider that proof that mine really are the best! 🙂

  22. I never met a cookie I didn’t like, but plain shortbread is hard to beat. Butter, flour and a little sugar, what more do you need.

  23. One? That,s tough. I am constantly eating peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies that taste like shortbread. I even went so far to add some nutella to it. I have to stop baking them because I am Soooo weak. Jen

  24. I can’t believe I’ve never had a cookie with pretzels in it. It’s shameful, I know. So I’ll have to make these cookies ASAP.

As for the giveaway question, my favorite cookie has to be the snickerdoodle. Nice, simple, cinnamon sugar goodness.

Thanks for the awesome giveaway, Gaby!

  25. Pepparkakor cookies! A Swedish twist on the gingerbread classic, I love these at Christmas!

  26. Chocolate chip coconut cookies with dark chocolate chips (60% cocoa) and made with real butter. Toasting the coconut is a nice touch (instead of using it straight out of the package).

  27. I most often crave a chewy, soft, almost under-baked oatmeal dark chocolate chunk cookie (my husband add dried cranberries which is delicious). But there’s something about lace cookies that I just love, too!

  28. Any chewy cookie will do it for me – and if it’s sprinkled with sea salt, even better!

  29. My absolute favorite cookie in the whole wide world is an uncooked one! Forget chewy or gooey, give me the dough! 🙂 🙂

  30. I make a delicious oatmeal chocolate chip. They are gooey because I take them out of the oven early. Then I dip them in melted semi sweet chips. Chocolate overload. Sometimes I even double dip them. YUM!

  31. My favorite kind of cookies are soft sugar cookies! I especially love them smothered in a delicious creamy frosting! Lately I am also loving this certain recipe for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies! They are best after about 2 days…so soft and chewy! I want a cookie right now!!
