Cheesy Avocado Bacon Poutine

Jump to Recipe

You guys. I’ve got a big exciting surprise for ya today! I made you a very special, extra cheesy, tomatillo salsa loaded poutine. I know. It’s decadent.

I know poutine is typically made with gravy and all that jazz, but I live in LA and there are still tomatillos at my farmers market! So I wanted to give this comforting dish a new spin. So I went ahead and fried up some french fries and then melted some cheese on top and topped it all off with a tomatillo avocado salsa sprinkled with chopped red onion and bacon.

I don’t know about you, but this just screams football food to me!Cheesy Avocado Bacon PoutineSo let’s talk about this blender for a hot second.

Have you guys ever used a Blendtec? It’s kinda a dream come true. It’s super powerful and it made this tomatillo avocado salsa in literally 16 seconds flat. I timed it. And I did NO prep work. Like I didn’t chop up any of the veggies really, and just threw everything into the blender and let it go to work. Brilliance. 16 seconds later I was ready to go!

If I had to go do my wedding registry all over again, this would be at the top of my list! I can’t even being to tell you how fast it makes my smoothies in the morning. Can you imagine how quickly it would make a blended margarita come spring time when it’s time to lay out by the pool. It’s going to be a whole new world 🙂

  1. This would be fabulous for making YOUR Green Juice. Currently, I’m using my very old, very basic blender which takes forever and leaves the juice pretty chunky. Thanks for the chance Gaby!

  2. I have a serious love/hate relationship with morning smoothies. I love to drink them I hate to make them in my 15 year old Oster Blender 🙁

  4. we use a blender everyday and kill them on a regular basis. we use them for everything from smoothies in the morning to soup for dinner and everything in between. our favorite thing to make is hummus as our kids just eat it up, but it sure is a blender killer.

  5. I love making green machine juices, but hate all the pulp. I used to drain it with a cheesecloth, but now that I’m diabetic, I hear it’s not good to get rid of all that fiber. What’s a girl to do…oh, yeah….win a Blendtec!!!

  6. I love love love making smoothies, but I don’t like how my current blender doesn’t blend frozen things worth a darn…..this blender would be the answer I am looking for.

  7. I love green juices but my juicer is such a pain to clean and I always feel like I’m missing out on so much good stuff by throwing out all the pulp. I could make awesome green smoothies at home with an awesome blender like the Blendtec!

  8. Now, I only make shakes and salad dressings- who knows what would appear if I owned real power!
