Jump to Recipe

You guys. I’ve got a big exciting surprise for ya today! I made you a very special, extra cheesy, tomatillo salsa loaded poutine. I know. It’s decadent.

I know poutine is typically made with gravy and all that jazz, but I live in LA and there are still tomatillos at my farmers market! So I wanted to give this comforting dish a new spin. So I went ahead and fried up some french fries and then melted some cheese on top and topped it all off with a tomatillo avocado salsa sprinkled with chopped red onion and bacon.

I don’t know about you, but this just screams football food to me!Cheesy Avocado Bacon PoutineSo let’s talk about this blender for a hot second.

Have you guys ever used a Blendtec? It’s kinda a dream come true. It’s super powerful and it made this tomatillo avocado salsa in literally 16 seconds flat. I timed it. And I did NO prep work. Like I didn’t chop up any of the veggies really, and just threw everything into the blender and let it go to work. Brilliance. 16 seconds later I was ready to go!

If I had to go do my wedding registry all over again, this would be at the top of my list! I can’t even being to tell you how fast it makes my smoothies in the morning. Can you imagine how quickly it would make a blended margarita come spring time when it’s time to lay out by the pool. It’s going to be a whole new world 🙂

  1. I love to make smoothies and milkshakes, but currently I only have an immersion blender, which doesn’t do a milkshake or smoothie much justice. I would love this fancy pants blender!

  2. My favorite thing to make in a blender is roasted red pepper pasta sauce! I currently don’t own a blender so this Blendtec would be an amazing addition to my kitchen! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

  3. I would love to start making my own nut butters and my food processor takes SO long! Plus, it never is a perfectly smooth.

  4. I hardly make anything because my blender stinks! I do make cilantro lime sauce to put on taco salad or any sort of tacos.

  5. This time of year — soups! I only have a mini-chop, so only being able to blend a little bit at a time is pretty frustrating!

  6. My fav thing right now….avocado chocolate pudding! Also digging me some pumpkin pie smoothies. So seasonal and so yummmmmm!!!!

  7. I love to make hummus. Need something that will make it smooth for me. In the mornings I make a smoothie and would love to try green ones!! Need one of these so bad!! It looks beautiful!!!!!!

  8. I would love a blender that could actually make smoothies. My blender makes chunkies. Nothing like trying to choke down a beverage with lumps. 🙂
