  1. This is a treasure trove of info, Gaby! I see several shows I’ve been wondering about, so I am going to give some of them a go next time I get ready to start a new binge watching session!
And these snacks look out-of-this-world delish! Can’t wait to try those as well!
Happy New Year, Gaby! Hope it’s a great 2017 for you!!! xo

  2. I agree! Love The Fall, Crown, This is Us, A place to call home, Good Girls Revolt! And a bunch of great ones on Acorn tv too! x Can’t wait to try some of these recipes! They look amazing! Happy New Year!!

  3. Solid picks, Gaby! I started the Crown and am only into the first episode and already love it. Obsessed with This is Us. I literally sob tears during each episode. It’s deep, real deep. Plus your food looks incredible. I don’t want January 1st to come because bye bye nachos and hello kale smoothies. Haha!

  4. I watched all 10 episodes of The Crown in 2 days when I was sick after Christmas. LOVE it so much and need more!!

  5. I am all about binge watching and that’s a great list of binge watching material! I have seen most of them and the ones I haven’t, I will certainly get on it! I am dying over that artichoke dip, btw!! Happy Holidays!!

  6. The A&E Scientology document-series with Leah Remini is absolutely worth watching. We are also enjoying Shooter on USA with Ryan Phillipe.

  7. We have similar tastes in “bingies”, I added ‘The Crown’ and ‘Good Girls Revolt’ to my list. Thank-you for your delicious recipes!

  8. Gaby, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel just on Amazon is so good. I watched the pilot 3 times before they released the season last week. I am telling anyone who will listen, to watch it.

  9. I am binge watching “The Great British Baking Show”
It is addicting and I adore Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood.
Some of the recipes are totally European, but so interesting.
Paul Ho;;ywodd is the new Simon Cowell.

  10. Handmaid’s Tale is . Watch that next, for sure! And add your tomatillo salsa to the binge recipe list. My fav to make for the weekend for snacks! Those pretzel knots are also a fave!

  11. If you want a funny show to mix in with all these deep dark ones, try Schitt’s Creek. Eugene Levy and his son are hilarious.

    1. Was about to say the same thing. Any best of TV list that doesn’t include Schitt’s Creek is just incorrect.

  12. We must have the same taste in shows! Thanks for posting!! Adding the ones on your list that I haven’t seen!
Some of my recent faves are glow, the killing and hell on wheels on Netflix. Poldark on amazon is so good. It’s a British show – the main character, adian turner is too cute!
Also, bought your cookbook and LOVE it!!

  13. Salt Fat Acid Heat was so good! I really wish that I was friends with Samin because she seems so personable and fun to be with. I loved that she loves food and wasn’t afraid to show herself eating and enjoying food, refreshing especially for a woman. I was also blown away with how much salt she uses! I had no idea they turned Dirty John into a TV series. You’ll have to update later if it lives up to the podcast :). Happy TV binging!

  14. From your group on Facebook, I got Offspring. How you know it’s a good show is the level to which you are depressed when you get to the end ! BTW – scared to make your pretzel knots for fear I will go down like I did with the coconut rice (why are carbs my enemy?! – rhetorical question :/)

  15. Great list! Also must sees for you:
Camping-on HBO with Jennifer Garner and other favs. Hilarious comedy

Homecoming-on Prime with Julia Roberts. short 30 minute episodes, dark drama

other favs on Netflix: Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, Person of Interest, Dexter
The Sinner on USA (1st season is on Netflix)

    I am still in a food coma…

  16. Love Chef’s Table. All of the pastry chef episodes are great, especially Christina Tosi. I also recommend Grant Achatz and Massimo Bottura.

  17. I haven’t watched Virunga, but I literally just bought tickets to Rwanda (I go once a year for a medical mission). I saw the gorillas there 3 years ago and it was by far one of the most amazing experiences ever.

  18. Some really solid choices here! Fargo all 3 seasons, my very favorite tv show. Just got around to watching Mozart in the Jungle love me some Gael! Recently finished The Haunting of Hill House, oh my! Looking forward to seeing Vikings newest season. I hope Taboo comes back. I’ve seen most of the ones on your list and will definitely check out the ones I haven’t!

  19. I love tv!!! Such similar tastes so I’m excited to watch the ones I haven’t yet! But I have to share with you!

Netflix: Mad Men- one of the best of all time! The Returned—French, subtitles, so interesting. Sabrina—sooo fun! Dexter—oldie but so good! The Haunting of Hill House.
Hulu: Fargo!!!! Season 1=favorite forever, but season 2 is so good too!
Amazon: Catastrophe— had to pause because couldn’t hear over my laughter. Mozart in the Jungle. Forever.

  20. OMG. I can’t believe I forgot one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen. Have you seen The OA on Netflix? Perfection!!!

  21. Yes to the Nancy Silverton episode – I can’t get enough of her! She’s kind of like the Frida Kahlo of BREAD! My favorite is the opening line. ❤️

  22. Sneaky Pete on Prime Video – it’s so good. Totally captivating and gets you hooked and anxious to see what’s next!

  23. A couple more shows that are a MUST are;
Poldark on BBC (you will absolutely fall in love with Ross Poldark!), Good Behavior (Javier is very sexy!) & Queen of the South.

  24. WOW! You really have a dark side. That’s why there are kinds of genras to fit all kinds of tastes, but do love your recipes

  25. Great list! Thank you. After several episodes of the Dirty John podcast, Debra’s choosing John over her family and lying to them about being married made me so angry at her. (Victim blaming, I know!). Maybe I need to finish it and try the television series.

  26. Two more binge worthy shows; British & only one season each like Bodyguard and equally intense in their own way.
    Both created by Harlan Coben:
    SAFE
    The Five

  27. We have the same taste in television! Check out Derry Girls on Netflix – hysterical. Put the subtitles on (the Irish accent can be hard to follow).

  28. Have you watched Prodigal Son? It kills me that I have to wait a week between episodes but you could binge the first few.
