Whew!! We made it out of football season alive! (barely) I still don’t know who won the game yesterday (nor do I care) but I do know that I ate WAY too many things during the day and I need to hit the reset button like whoa! Enter the Blueberry Muffin Smoothie

This Blueberry Muffin Smoothie
is exactly what the doctor (or nutritionist) ordered today! After a few too many pigs in a blanket and nachos, I’m getting back to basics and eating real food and wholesome ingredients! I’m also getting my butt back to the gym after taking the weekend off. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

So quick backstory – I hired a trainer about 2 months ago to help whip me into shape before a big photoshoot. The photoshoot has since passed and I’m still going every single day I can manage because I’m obsessed. I haven’t changed much about how I eat (it’s all about balance for me) – but I do pay close attention to what I put in my body before I workout! I’m a morning gym go-er and I like to go before breakfast but not on an empty stomach. And after trying ever single bar known to man, I can tell you that LÄRABAR is seriously the only thing I’m 100% comfortable eating. It’s Food Made From Food, with simple real food ingredients that you can actually read on the label!! Just unsweetened fruits, nuts and spices – that’s a win! And it was created around the idea that real food should be accessible for everyone – which explains its awesome price point! I’ve tried just about every flavor under the sun, but the Blueberry Muffin bar is my current favorite and it works out perfectly because I can have a bar pre-workout and then a smoothie inspired by the bar post-workout. See what I did there?!? 🙂 Continuity!

  1. I LOVE lara bars! I followed whole30 last month and these bars SAVED me. I’m obsessed with the blueberry muffin flavor as well!

  2. My favorite Lärabar is the snickerdoodle bar! It’s seasonal, but it has dates, cashews, almonds, cinnamon, and vanilla!

  3. I’ve never seen the Coconut Cream Pie ones and now that is all I can think about! I love that the ingredient list is so simple; dates, nuts and coconut. Yum!

  4. Lara bars are my favorite on-the-go bar – always have one in my purse! I LOVE the PB&J (buy them by the case!) 🙂 Also, excited to try this smoothie once I get myself some dates.

  5. Pecan Pie is my fav!! Pecans, Dates and Almonds for the win!! Getting ready to try and recreate it at home since they can be hard to find around here!

  6. You had me at blueberry muffin! But as a smoothie – yassssss! I’m embarrassed to say, I’ve never tried a Larabar before. That needs to change!

  7. Is it just 1/2 cup milk or 1 1/2 cups? Thanks! The Peanut Butter Cookie bars are our favorites. I think we loved the Pb&j ones too but rarely see them.

  8. Hi Gaby!

So excited about this giveaway! I love Larabars! My favorite is the carrot cake (dates, almonds, walnuts, raisins, dried pineapple, unsweetened coconut, carrots, cinnamon, and extra virgin coconut oil). Yummy yummy yummy! I’m trying to get in great shape for my upcoming wedding, and these would be perfect for that! 🙂

  9. Larabars are so great! The peanut butter cookie, chocolate chip peanut butter, and apple pie are my favorites! But I love them all!

  10. I’ve only tried Apple Pie with the Larabars. The Cherry Pie, Blueberry Muffin, and Carrot Cake all sound really good to me! I think that I’m going to make this smoothie tonight, but omit the cashew butter since I don’t have any on hand. It looks delicious and my two young boys will probably love it!

  11. Yum I love Larabars! My favorite is the peanutbutter and jelly. These smoothies sound great can’t wait to try them out!

  12. I love peanut butter anything so the peanut butter cookie is a healthy treat 🙂 I love how there are not 3 ingredients — peanut butter, dates, and sea salt. I’m a huge fan of sweet and salty combinations so this one is a win for me!

  13. This looks so great! My favorite Larabar flavor is apple pie, though I really enjoyed the seasonal gingerbread as well.

  14. 5 stars
This is so delicious. I’ve made it the last couple mornings for breakfast and it’s my new favorite thing. Love all you do Gaby!
