You know I couldn’t let Thanksgiving roll around without a cocktail right?!? This Apple Cranberry Moscow Mule is for EVERYONE!
We all need a little cocktail or mocktail two around the holidays, am I right? There’s a lot going on in the world… I get it! This Apple Cranberry Moscow Mule isn’t too sweet and it’s easy to whip up on a moments notice! Just grab a few key ingredients from the store and I bet you’ll already have some of it on hand.
It’s equal parts refreshing and spritz-y, this cocktail is packed with all the flavor! I typically use vodka as that’s traditional in a mule, but you could sub in gin, tequila, or whatever else you please! Or ditch the booze and go mocktail style. Ginger beer goes on top because it’s the best mixer in my opinion, and then garnish it up and serve!
And yes, you can easily batch make this cocktail if you’re going to be serving more than 1-2 people at a time. The recipe below makes 2 Apple Cranberry Moscow Mule, but you can multiply it up as much as needed. Just be sure to give it a quick stir before serving!

Apple Cranberry Moscow Mule
Ingredients
- 4 ounces vodka
- ¼ cup cranberry juice
- ½ cup sparkling apple juice
- 1 can ginger beer
- fresh cranberries and sliced apples for garnish
Instructions
- Fill 2 glasses with ice and add equal amounts of the vodka, cranberry juice and sparkling apple juice to the glasses. Stir to combine.
- Fill the remaining space of the glasses with the ginger beer and stir gently to combine. Serve immediately. Garnish with cranberries and apples as desired.
Your recipe sounds great, BUT the quantities and instructions do not! Does one take two glasses and fill them with ice and add 2oz of vodka to each, then half the 1/4 cup of cranberry juice and add 1/8 cup to each glass? See where I am going? I will put 4 oz of vodka, 1/4 cup cranberry juice, 1/2 cup sparkling apple juice in each of two LARGE glasses filled with ice and top each off with ginger beer and enjoy both and call it a night! Maybe I add all the vodka and juices to a container and divide them equally between the two glasses filled with ice and top them off with ginger beer and share. Then go back and mix another round.
Fixed it for you Bob!! Should be easier now
Gaby, Thanks for clarifying for me—now I can take one glass, a large pitcher, double the recipe, and relax the rest of the day! I do enjoy your recipes. Happy Thanksgiving! Bob
Looks divine!!
I think Ithis how I’d like to see Thanksgiving out, flopped on a chair with my feet up!!
I think for two cocktails?
correct
This looks like a perfect drink to serve my guests (and another one for myself after the guests have left 🙂 ) What is ginger beer and where do I get it? Is it the same as ginger ale? I am guessing it’s not, because I’m sure you would have said ginger ale.
different! available at most grocery stores! whole foods def has it
Such a great way to celebrate with friends and family.
This look delicious. Approximately how many ounces of ginger beer?
20-24 ounces total
Added the juices to my shopping list for Thanksgiving! Looks like we’ll have lotsa fun baking/cooking!
Love this, the addition of apples is such a good idea! Can’t wait to try 🙂
Seems like a lot of Ginger Beer for one drink? Is that really right a whole can?
it is when I make it!! But you could cut down if you prefer less sweet
To make this non-alcoholic (mocktail!) are there any suggested alternatives? Of course no vodka, but what about ginger beer?
My two daughters, 21 and 23, live for cocktails so we are going to try this one. However, I’d like the option of a mocktail!
As always, your food/drink is the BEST.
ginger beer is non alcoholic!! you’re golden!
If making a pitcher, should I just mix everything together and then top the pitcher with ginger beer or each individual glass?
If you’re serving it right away, go ahead and add the ginger beer to the pitcher
Gabby. Recipe doesn’t correlate with the instructions? Am I reading it incorrectly?
unsure what you mean – it all matches up to me
What do I add instead of vodka and ginger beer to make a mock tail?
just ditch the vodka. ginger beer is non-alcoholic
Is it unsweetened cranberry juice?
Looks delish but I really dislike apple juice. What sub would you suggest maybe champagne, OJ &/or sparkling water?
Thanks and cheers!
CHAMPAGNE!!
The perfect, festive drink for the holidays!!
Love this drink! Very popular with my fam at Thanksgiving 🙂
Do you think I could do a Rosemary sprig for a garnish with the cranberries? Or would it ruin the flavor?
