You know I couldn’t let Thanksgiving roll around without a cocktail right?!? This Apple Cranberry Moscow Mule is for EVERYONE!

We all need a little cocktail or mocktail two around the holidays, am I right? There’s a lot going on in the world… I get it! This Apple Cranberry Moscow Mule isn’t too sweet and it’s easy to whip up on a moments notice! Just grab a few key ingredients from the store and I bet you’ll already have some of it on hand.

It’s equal parts refreshing and spritz-y, this cocktail is packed with all the flavor! I typically use vodka as that’s traditional in a mule, but you could sub in gin, tequila, or whatever else you please! Or ditch the booze and go mocktail style. Ginger beer goes on top because it’s the best mixer in my opinion, and then garnish it up and serve!

And yes, you can easily batch make this cocktail if you’re going to be serving more than 1-2 people at a time. The recipe below makes 2 Apple Cranberry Moscow Mule, but you can multiply it up as much as needed. Just be sure to give it a quick stir before serving!

  1. Your recipe sounds great, BUT the quantities and instructions do not! Does one take two glasses and fill them with ice and add 2oz of vodka to each, then half the 1/4 cup of cranberry juice and add 1/8 cup to each glass? See where I am going? I will put 4 oz of vodka, 1/4 cup cranberry juice, 1/2 cup sparkling apple juice in each of two LARGE glasses filled with ice and top each off with ginger beer and enjoy both and call it a night! Maybe I add all the vodka and juices to a container and divide them equally between the two glasses filled with ice and top them off with ginger beer and share. Then go back and mix another round.

    1. Gaby, Thanks for clarifying for me—now I can take one glass, a large pitcher, double the recipe, and relax the rest of the day! I do enjoy your recipes. Happy Thanksgiving! Bob

  2. This looks like a perfect drink to serve my guests (and another one for myself after the guests have left 🙂 ) What is ginger beer and where do I get it? Is it the same as ginger ale? I am guessing it’s not, because I’m sure you would have said ginger ale.

  3. To make this non-alcoholic (mocktail!) are there any suggested alternatives? Of course no vodka, but what about ginger beer?
My two daughters, 21 and 23, live for cocktails so we are going to try this one. However, I’d like the option of a mocktail!
As always, your food/drink is the BEST.

  4. If making a pitcher, should I just mix everything together and then top the pitcher with ginger beer or each individual glass?

  5. Looks delish but I really dislike apple juice. What sub would you suggest maybe champagne, OJ &/or sparkling water?

    Thanks and cheers!
