In honor of summer being right around the corner, we’re kicking it off with an Almond Butter Spinach Smoothie!
One thing I make pretty much every morning for breakfast is a big smoothie. It’s one of the most important parts of my day and it’s so delicious. I like to pack my smoothies full of nutrients, healthy fats, and a little bit of plant protein. And this almond butter spinach smoothie checks all the boxes. It’s loaded with almond butter, fresh spinach, a few pieces of frozen pineapple and some vanilla almond milk, it’s not only delicious, but it will also keep you going until your next meal! The star of the show here though is the almond butter, which adds a super boost to this smoothie. Almonds are rich in antioxidants, like vitamin E, and pack in a small serving of plant protein. They’re full of fiber and a great source of healthy fat, both of which will keep you fuller for longer. I swear this smoothie really does help me get out of bed in the morning and gives me the energy I need to get my day going. And because I know mornings can get pretty hectic for a lot of us, this smoothie can be whipped up in under 5 minutes so you can grab a glass and run out the door.
I’ll leave you with one final tip about the key to making your smoothies creamy and thick. Don’t add ice, instead add frozen fruit – it does just as great of a job at keeping things chilled and keeps the consistency at the perfect thickness without watering your smoothie down.

Looks like a delicious way to eat better.
I need to break out of my breakfast rut and this looks absolutely perfect 🙂
Two things I don’t use enough in smoothies: almond butter and spinach. Literally have them both on hand always, but never seem to use them in my daily morning breakfast smoothie…always think about it though! Going to have to try this! Thanks, Gaby 🙂
What a great idea! I absolutely love almonds so why not add them to my morning smoothie along with my almond milk! Thanks for the recipe 🙂
I need this SO bad right now!! I’ll take 3 please 🙂
Just added frozen pineapple chunks in my grocery list!! This smoothie looks so good..waiting to try it soon!
Oooh! I like the addition of pineapple, it sounds so refreshing and healthy.
I am sooooo making this! Looks perfect!!
This needs to be my lunch!
I really need to get my blender dusted off, and start making smoothies. Besides loving almonds, I like the pineapple in this recipe!
Love the added protein in this!
Always looking for new smoothie ideas, and this one’s a winner for sure! This looks so delicious and healthy…thanks for sharing!
I love the color! What a great way to start the day…
Made it exactly as directed. I think 1 cup of spinach would have been better. I think the spinach flavor was a little too strong, so either use half the spinach or double all of the other ingredients. I have a similar recipe which is my favorite that calls for 2 cups spinach but 1/2 cup frozen pineapple and 1/2 cup frozen mango plus a full banana. I loved the almond butter in this recipe, though. I tablespoon really added a ton of flavor.
I made this for breakfast and it’s delicious! I usually do almonds, but the almond butter was a nice change. Thanks! I’ll be making this one often!
This looks absolutely delicious! i will make this tomorrow and tag you on your instagram!
You are the BEST!!!
Didn’t have pineapple, so I used the leftover frozen mango I had instead. Delicious!
Great taste! Where do I find nutritional information for your recipes?
Hey Jill! I don’t provide nutritional information. That said, I use the freshest ingredients I can find and use a well balanced meal plan to keep my eating balanced.
I actually do this exact smoothie quite a bit(kids lot it) but never tried pineapple in it. sometimes I add in 1/3cup GF oats to make it more filling. Great recipes on your site. -Anna

Gorgeous pictures. I made this almond butter spinach smoothie for the super bowl party and it was a crowd favorite.
This is great! I make the exact smoothie but use fresh grated ginger, no pineapple. Has a nice zing to it!
Hey there, I’m a huge fan of smoothies! And that almond butter spinach smoothie looks way awesome! Thanks for sharing!
