Remember when jigglers used to be all the rage? I vote they come back. Especially this summer because they are beyond easy to make and perfect for 4th of July, Labor Day, or any other excuse to have your best girlfriends over for a pool party! I had every intention of making these red white and blue for the 4th of July but after days of recipe testing I discovered that it’s basically impossible to make blue anything without food coloring. Sooooo… I went for pink. (duh!) Pink with flowers to be exact!!

These 4th of July Jigglers are made with strawberry lemonade and mixed berry agua fresca! You can use any kinds of fruit juices you want for that portion of the recipe. Then you add some gelatin, some Skinnygirl Bare Naked Vodka and a few edible flowers because it’s the right thing to do and voila! Fancy and chic 4th of July Jigglers are ready to roll. Technically they need a few hours in the fridge, but you get the idea! You can make these days ahead of time and just keep them chilled till it’s time to enjoy! If edible flowers aren’t easily available – you can absolutely use fresh fruit or skip the add-ins all together and just have really gorgeous 4th of July Jigglers that are a variety of colors!

4th of July Jigglers

Ingredients

For the light pink Jigglers

  • ¾ cup Skinnygirl® Bare Naked Vodka
  • 1 ¼ cup strawberry lemonade
  • 2 envelopes 5 1/2 teaspoons gelatin powder

For the dark pink Jigglers

  • ¾ cup Skinnygirl® Bare Naked Vodka
  • 1 ¼ cup mixed berry agua fresca
  • 2 envelopes 5 1/2 teaspoons gelatin powder

Instructions

  • Lightly spray an ice cube tray with non-stick cooking spray. Wipe any excess collected spray from the ice cube tray.
  • Place lemonade in a small saucepan. Sprinkle gelatin over the lemonade and allow to sit for 5 minutes. The lemonade will wrinkle and wave but still be loose. Heat over low heat for about 3 minutes until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Don’t allow the gelatin to boil. Remove from heat, stir in the Skinnygirl® Bare Naked Vodka and pour the mixture into the prepared ice cube tray filling each cube almost to the top. Place an edible flower into each ice cube tray
  • Place in the refrigerator and allow to rest in the fridge overnight until set completely.
  • Repeat the process above with additional ice cube trays and the mixed berry agua fresca.
  • To remove the cubes, invert the ice rube tray and run over warm water. Run a thin knife around the edges and press out of the ice cube tray. Allow to rest in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

  1. I was just reminiscing about jello jigglers at neighborhood picnics when I was a kid. These are a tasty grown up version and soooo pretty!

  2. I totally remember the jigglers craze! These look so much more grown up and elevated. I can’t wait to try!

  3. If you want to use natural flavors to dye things blue, try experimenting with blueberry juice and see what happens. It might end up like a deep purple, but that still sounds pretty tasty to me!!!!

    1. I’ve done that and it’s a majorly gorgeous purple color!! Blue is just one of those colors that doesn’t really appear naturally in food 🙂 xx
