What’s In Season // Tomatoes

Jump to Recipe

I spend an above average amount of time at farmers markets. You could find me wandering the market at least 3 days a week in LA. And in honor of that, I’m kicking off a new feature here in WGC! Each month I’m picking something at the peak of it’s season and sharing a whole bunch of recipes featuring the item. And this month… it’s all about tomatoes!

  1. Gaby,
This is a great idea and I really appreciate all the recipes. Focusing on specific produce helps me make wiser decisions at the market. Thanks, again. Kol Toov (all good things), Marnie

  2. Yum! Love tomato season! I’m like you and I hit up 2 or 3 farmers markets a week (Seattle has one almost everyday of the week). It’s great to live in places with lots of farmers markets! Can’t get enough! Great roundup of recipes!

  3. What a great selection of recipes. I love how you also give credit to other food bloggers. That is so very nice when all of you bloggers spend so much time and effort not only putting the recipe together but great pictures as well. Love tomatoes and love this idea and you didn’t just say vegetables. Yeah so there is a good chance for fruits. How about one vegetable and one fruit a month. Gosh, I am pushing my luck. What is your favorite tomato recipe? I guess I would have to say Ina’s Panzanella Salad. Thanks Gaby.
