It’s been a hot second since we’ve had a giveaway here on WGC and I’m changing that all up today + talking Picnic 101!
One of my favorite parts about summer, besides the long days, the perfect weather, the road trips, firing up the grill and the summer birthday parties, is picnic season!! Picnics are one of my favorite ways to gather up a bunch of friends and have a relaxing afternoon under the sun!
There are a few things that are MANDATORY at all my picnics. First – a cheese platter. Plus it’s the easiest thing to whip up. Have all your friends grab their favorite cheese and some fruit, nuts, or crackers and then just assemble it and go.
Next – cheese balls. (Because one can never have enough cheese) These goat cheese balls are everything! Throw them in some olive oil and herbs and you’re good to go.
Crudite is where it’s at! Fresh veggies, hummus, tzatiki… what more could you ask for?
And of course – beverages!! Duh! A giant brunch at Superba Food+Bread followed by a hike in the Santa Monica Mountains. Homemade dinner and then drinks somewhere on a rooftop. Perhaps High Rooftop Lounge at Hotel Erwin. Perfection!
When I have free time, my girlfriends and I love to try new brunch spots in search for the best Avocado toast in LA. Strolling local farmers markets on weekend getaways is also a great past time!

Those goat cheese balls look amazing! My favorite way to hang out with the girls is brunch, barre, wine tasting, shopping… basically anything we can do to spend time together!

Oh, there are so many ways to enjoy time with girlfriends! Brunch, shopping, cocktails in the back yard, a night out at a great restaurant. Yes!!
I was just talking about throwing a random picnic with a friend of mine who is getting ready to head over to France to bike the course. We were talking about making a variety of Indian foods and some snacks and sitting in the front yard with picnic blankets and baskets! Seriously, some times it’s as simple as that!

Wine tasting is always a winner.
My friend and I like to go to lunch at different places and then shop at many, many stores. A fun afternoon for us. We have been friends for years and when we get together, it is like yesterday.
Gathered on the sofa, watching Pride and Prejudice, saying all the lines together, with some good food and cocktails!
My favorite time with my BFFs is anytime we can all score a sitter for the same day/time! We love hanging out at a spa, dressing up doing dinner, heading to the Whitewater Center, or anywhere we can all be together!

This is so cute!! For a fun girls day in Dallas, we like to start with a fun mimosa and bloody mary filled brunch at a trendy restaurant with lots of girl talk….followed by manicures and pedicures at a nearby salon, a yoga class, and then a a fun dinner at Mi Cocina with Mambo Taxis margaritas!
Favorite is wherever as long as the girls can figure out a time around work and kids to get together. Sometimes I have to tow my 2 year old with me.
I never get girl time so I love to do something where we can chat, a fancy lunch or dinner, go for a hike, maybe a little shopping, anything where we can have time to catch up with each other.

I love spending the day hiking with my girlfriends and then finishing the night off at home with some drinks and game time!
Oh, to be able to jump through this picture and join in the fun!! The most epic way to spend the day with my girlfriends is preparing a fabulous picnic complete with yummy cocktails, then find a quiet wooded area by a stream or river and have a little swim! Our loved ones (read: puppies) would be with us and afterwards we would all enjoy yummy treats. Closing out the perfect night would end with us around a bonfire telling stories until the wee hours of the morning.
This would be the most awesome way to celebrate my birthday in a week 😀

My favorite girls day is a day on the beach! !! My friends and I jump in my Wrangler and have a huge adventure playing games, swimming, and eating fresh and light food. No girls day out is complete without the sunset 🙂
For us it is shopping or a sponsored brand house party that gets up together and sometimes., it is just a simple lunch and catching up on office gossip since we have all gotten different jobs from the one that made up friends ….from co workers to friends.
Picnics are my fave! Really any activity that involves delicious food, plenty of wine, and my favorite girls. xo
I love just getting together informally with my girlfriends and chatting over snacks — some healthy, some not so much!
We like to go out to eat, do a little shopping and end the day with a mani/pedi or a movie.
