I’m an Arizona girl at heart. Although I wasn’t born there, I grew up there and I love it. I love the hot weather. I am seriously obsessed with the food. And I love that everyone likes to lay by the pool just as much as me. It’s a pretty great place. Especially Scottsdale.
I was in Scottsdale a few weeks ago, celebrating one of my best friends birthdays. We shacked up at the W Scottsdale which is right in the heart of downtown Scottsdale. For those of you not familiar with downtown Scottsdale, it’s basically the best place ever. Shopping. Restaurants. Bars. The whole enchilada if you will.
While the winter is my favorite time to visit Scottsdale because it’s basically 80 degrees and sunny, spring time is my second fav. You’ve got tons of fun activities to do from hiking, hitting the pool, going to a spring training game, visit a spa… I mean you could go on forever. There is something for everyone here!
Here’s a little peek into my recent trip.
As I said, we stayed at the W Scottsdale. It’s gorgeous.
And there is a stunning bar right when you walk in… we spent a decent amount of time there later in the day.
We had a room over looking the pool. Which was nice, but really I spent almost no time in the room. There was so much to do outside!! Side note – the bed was way comfy!
I knew I was going to be in for a treat the second we walked in. There are Bliss products all over the hotel – and I love me some Bliss Spa time!
After a few birthday celebration cocktails with the birthday girl -(pictured below) we high tailed it to the pool for a little R&R, followed by some pampering time at the Bliss Spa downstairs. Sadly I have no pics of the inside of the spa because I was way to busy getting facials and massages – but let me tell you – it was gorgeous. Definitely worth a little splurge!
Poolside Margs!!
After some fun in the sun, we got all dolled up and headed out to some seriously good restaurants and then hit the town!
The next am we needed something to help with the headache, if ya know what I mean. So I dragged the girls out of bed to one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Scottsdale. Located just a few blocks over from the W, Distrito is some seriously good mexican food. Which is exactly my favorite way to cure a hangover.
We were the first ones there – clearly I was excited to eat! How fun is the interior?
I had the huevos rancheros… I mean would you except anything else from me? Doubtful. They blew my mind. And I also ate approximately 100 tortilla chips and bucket loads of salsa. I was content. Stuffed. Happy. And I’d do it again in a heartbeat!
After that, we packed up, headed back to the airport and flew to LA! I’m basically ready to turn around and head back. I need some Arizona sunshine, margaritas and guacamole. Who’s coming with me!
Here are some links to my favorite places to eat at stay in Scottsdale:
Distrito
Olive & Ivy
The Mission
W Hotel
I am in need of a little Arizona time! I may have to settle for some of your famous guacamole !!
Looks fun! I LOVE beds at The W. They are the most comfy things ever!
I literally just got back from Scottsdale last night – we were right down the road at lofts by the W!! Loved the place – and we visited Olive and Ivy for dinner one night. Delish. Such a fun place and awesome weather!
