Happy New Year!

Wow! What a fabulous year 2009 has been! It started with a tad bit of turbulence as I was laid off, which ended up being a blessing in disguise, as it brought me so many new opportunities! (like this wheel of cheese – I was pretty excited about it to say the least!)

The first fabulous part of my year was Culinary School…  not only was I professionally trained but I also made a fantastic group of friends that I would have otherwise not met. This group of ladies is so special to me and I love all of them!

I learned how to cook the perfect steak – because before culinary school I seriously had never really cooked a steak. I was weird and sheltered but hey I can cook a steak now!

Next I became a personal chef for some fabulous people that I absolutely love!

All the while I have been working on new recipes and practicing my food styling and photography skills

And most importantly meeting the most amazing group of friends through this blog! It’s funny to think that one could make such good friends online. When I tell people that I am off to a conference or to coffee to meet friends that I have never actually met in person before… well they think I am nuts! But the truth is that I have met some of the most fabulous people from the food blog world and I can’t wait to continue those friendships and make new ones on the coming year! I have a feeling 2010 is going to be an amazing year for all of us.

I have a super exciting project that I am just on the brink of finalizing… but I am going to wait till its all ready to share it with you! It is something that we can all work on together and build communities within our own towns and make a huge difference while doing so.

I sincerely hope each of you have a FANTASTIC New Years Eve and that everyone is safe. See you next year where you can expect a boat load of new recipes I have been working on that are healthy, delicious and easy on your wallet!
