So. Let me paint you a picture. A few weeks back when I should have been making pretty things for my wedding and baking cookies to put into gift bags for our guests, I decided I should check out Amazon and see what kind of cookbooks were due to come out this fall. Little did I know that I basically added every other book to my shopping cart and spent 2 hours reading about the fabulous cooks that are publishing books in the next few months.

I’m jazzed to say the least. Now that the wedding planning is over, and I can eat whatever I want again because I don’t need to fit into my dress, I’m so excited to get back into the kitchen and cook up a storm!
So, here’s the deal. I picked my 10 most favorite titles that are due out this fall. Some of them were just released, and others are coming out in the next month or so. And I love each and every one of them. And can’t wait to get my hands on them too! And I feel like you should have them too. So let’s do a little giveaway shall we? Just peruse the books that are below, and pick your most favorite one or the one that looks the most like you, leave a comment telling me which cookbook is totally your jam and when I get back from my honeymoon on September 10th, I’ll pick 3 winners and mail ya the books of your choice!!
Sound good?
Okay go!
Here’s the deal. I love Aida. She is one heck of an amazing person and a dear dear friend of mine. So you should totally have her book. Not to mention her recipes are spot on and I’m not just saying that. I was cooking her recipes way before we were friends. And I trust her recipes to a T!

Weelicious: 140 Fast, Fresh, and Easy Recipes by Catherine McCord
Have a family? Look no further. Catherine, another wonderful friend of mine, has got ya covered! Her recipes will please even the pickiest eater and turn them into an adventurous one! Plus she’s gorgeous. So it’s another must have!

Muy Bueno: Three Generations of Authentic Mexican Flavor
Don’t mind me while I disappear into this book for the next 3 months. It’s another gorgeous book with to die for recipes! With 3 generations of recipes going into this book, it’s sure to be a winner in your kitchen!

I’m obsessed with Yotam. I’m pretty sure if we met in real life we would be great friends. I mean, I love all of his food, so I would just assume that we’d be friends in real life too. Don’t ya think? 🙂 His last cookbook, Plenty, was the inspiration behind so many of my pre-wedding meals. His food is clean, healthy and always flavorful! I can’t wait to dig into his latest!

The Sprouted Kitchen: A Tastier Take on Whole Foods
Based on one of my all time favorite blogs, this cookbook dives into the whole grains, whole foods and whole lotta vegetables. Plus the photography is breathtaking!

I mean, who doesn’t know Deb and her fab recipes!! I can’t wait to get this one into my hot little hands and start cooking and baking up a storm a la Deb!

Hugo Ortega’s Street Food of Mexico
I think I was meant to spend half of the year in Mexico. I’m just obsessed with Mexican cuisine. (I mean, guacamole in particular – but I love everything else too!) This cookbook, by Hugo Ortega just screamed my name when I came across it on Amazon. I think a street food adventure in Mexico sounds like something I was meant to do!

True Food: Seasonal, Sustainable, Simple, Pure
Have you guys ever been to True Food Kitchen? It’s one of my favorite restaurants here in Santa Monica. Want to know why? Because the food is fabulous and you actually leave feeling good! You’re not weighed down in greasy foods or stuffed to the brim with oversized portions. It’s just perfect. And this book is going to fit perfectly in my kitchen.

Have you guys had those life changing oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies? Well, those are the genius brainchild of my friend Jenny Flake!! And she’s got a new book to go along with her fabulous blog! Jenny’s recipes are fun, playful, delicious and totally good for families! And the photos are gorgeous. Especially because my BFFs, Matt Armendariz and Adam Pearson did the photography and food styling! I worked on set as a food styling assistant too… and let me tell ya, I taste tested each recipe after it came from from it’s beauty shot. Soooo good!

Pure Vanilla: Irresistible Recipes and Essential Techniques
And last, but certainly not least, let’s end with something super sweet from my girl Shauna, she’s a total doll! 🙂 With recipes like Honey-Vanilla Granola Clusters, Vanilla Sea Salt Caramels, and Vanilla Mojitos, I think this is going to fit perfectly into my cookbook collection!

And there you have it. 10 cookbooks. 10 awesome cookbook authors. And a whole lotta new recipes for your Fall season! So what do you think? Which one stands out the most? Leave your thoughts below and I’ll pick winners once I’m back from soaking up every ounce of sun Mexico has to offer!!

And the winners are……
Linda “I’d love Weelicious. My formerly adventurous toddler is becoming a picky preschooler! I’d love some more ideas for dinner.”
Eryn “What a tough pick, those all look amazing. I’d love Muy Bueno for the Mexican side of my family & Jerusalem: A Cookbook for the Israeli side of my family! You should then come over for a potluck, our food is amazing.
Congratulations on your wedding. I will give you the advice that was given to me on my wedding day, by my favorite aunt: Love each other deeply. Even when it’s difficult, just love each other deeply. It will carry you through anything that comes your way.”
Ashley @ Wishes for Dishes “I would love Picky Palate cookbook! I am a picky eater, after all
”
This fall is going to be expensive and oh so tasty! And congrats on the wedding, you looked stunning!
I love the idea of the Mexican street food, Hugo Ortega’s Street Food of Mexico. How fun! I love Mexcian cuisine, well, I love what passes here for Mexican cuisine and would love to check out something more authentic.
Such a generous giveaway….thanks so much! All of the cookbooks look awesome, but I think my fave would be Street Food of Mexico.
I love Smitten Kitchen, Picky Palate, and Weelicious so this was a hard one! However, with a little one on the way I think Weelicious would be most helpful 🙂 Congratulations on the wedding and thanks for a great giveaway!
If I could win one of these, I’d pick Weelicious! My 14 month old is becoming a little foodie like his mama, so I want to encourage those eating habits while I can. 🙂
I’m just dying to get my hands on the Picky Palate book! Have a great time on your honeymoon, Gaby!!
I watched the video on Aida’s website and her Keys to the Kitchen book looks insightful
‘True Food: Seasonal, Sustainable, Simple, Pure.’ My roomies and I have been trying to learn to live by this mantra for the past year and half since graduating from college! We pursue the local farmer’s market, discovered how to get involved in a local Farm share for the summer and are trying to learn new ways of whipping up tasty, local, good-for-you meals as we navigate the world of adulthood far away from our college caf! Looking at this book, I think Andrew Weil could really teach us a thing or two 🙂
Keys to the Kitchen. Hands down. I love Adia. My daughter and I would have so much fun cooking up a storm!
Muy Bueno sounds amazing…can’t get enough Mexican food!
The Picky Palate looks delightful!
Ahhh, I’m SO excited for the Picky Palate cookbook! I’d love to have that one. 🙂
What an awesome and generous giveaway! Although they all sound amazing, I would love to have a copy of Andrew Weil’s book. I love cooking seasonal and local as I believe that is when you can really taste the true flavors of food, as his title suggests!
I would love the smitten kitchen cookbook! I’ve tried several of Deb’s recipe, always with huge success!
What an amazing collection of cookbooks. The Pure Vanilla cookbook really stands out to me for some reason. Maybe it’s that delicious cupcake on the cover:)
Hard to pick but…True Food!
so hard to pick just one…but I’m really excited about Jerusalem! I loved his book Plenty and I bet this will amazing too. Enjoy your honeymoon!!
First, congratulations! I’m looking forward to the photos. Second, wow what a giveaway! It is so hard to choose just one. I don’t think I would be sad to get any one of them, but I will say The Sprouted Kitchen.
Congrats on your wedding you were a beautiful bride. I will be cooking great and tasty meals for my family this fall.
Oh wow … these all sound great, but I have to try to limit my cookbook collection new additions to things that I either do not have or will use a lot. I narrowed the list down to Hugo Ortega’s Street Food of Mexico.
Congratulations on the wedding and I hope that you are having/will have an AMAZING honeymoon!
That’s a hard one – they all look good! I think I’d have to pick Aida’s, but could curl up and read any of them and be happy.
Uh oh! I counted no less than 5 cookbooks I must own. If I have to pick one above all others, I would select Jerusalem. You got me with clean, healthy and flavorful. That is exactly the style of cooking I have been embracing to teach and nourish my teenage daughters. Thank you!
Yowza – fantastic giveaway. I always love adding cookbooks to my collection. I think I’m going to have to go with fellow food blogger Deb’s Smitten Kitchen Cookbook. Thanks so much for the opportunity to enter, and enjoy that honeymoon!!
I would love to win The Picky Palate Cookbook – I love Jenny’s blog!
I’d love to have Muy Bueno
All look wonderful but…I would love a copy of the Smitten Kitchen cookbook.
Jerusalem would be a fantastic addition to my collection!
Have an awesome honeymoon!
It is a toss between Smitten Kitchen and Picky Palate for me. I love both their blogs and would really like either cookbook!
Tough call! I guess Hugo Ortega’s Street Food of Mexico tops the list as my favorite of the 10 books listed. I love your blog. Keep up the great work.
Wow! These cookbooks are amazing! I would love them all, but I reallly want to get my hands on the Picky Palate cookbook!
Street Food of Mexico sounds so good to me!
ME, ME, ME!!! (waving hands in air). Pick me!!!
I’d LOVE to have this one. 🙂
S.O.S. Gaby! I’m a Colorado native living in Eastern PA and my absolute favorite cuisine is Mexican!! … not a popular choice here … MUY BUENO looks delightful and might be the perfect answer to help me satisfy my cravings!
Best of luck wishes for your wedding and honeymoon!
Hola! I love the name “Muy Bueno!” I love the pictures and I love the recipes! Today is my birthday and I am asking for this cook book! Much continued success and blessings!
Buen Provecho!
Maria
I subscribed to your blog first, because it is literally mouthwatering, and second, because I’ve just made a mid-year resolution to learn how to cook things a little more interesting than my current kind of sad list of go-to meals. Aida’s book looks perfect for me, with its focus on the foundation of good cooking! 🙂
Oh, this is hard! I guess I will pick Smitten Kitchen – love that blog. All of these books look awesome! What a difficult choice. Thanks for offering the giveaway.
Oh! I would love to have Hugo Ortega’s Street Food of Mexico! My husband and I were married in Mexico, and we’re in love with everything about the country … especially the food!
Love the Smitten Kitchen site, can’t wait for the book. Muy Bueno is a close second! Enjoy your holiday weekend!
I think that vanilla book looks fantastic! They all look great though. I hope the tradition of a real cookbook never goes away.
Keys to the Kitchen or Street Food os Mexico. I. Can’t. Decide. First time to comment, but have enjoyed your site forever. Oh–and congratulations!
I am so glad I was directed to this blog!
Can’t wait to have you back into the kitchen to cook up a storm. Cos that also means I can get inspired by your wonderful recipes. The book Muy Bueno is my top pick. I have many cookbooks but not one with Mexican recipe. I would definitely love to learn more.

They all look wonderful, but I’m most intrigued by Aida’s book!
I would love to win the smitten kitchen cookbook!
Keys to the Kitchen… I think it would be a great gift for my daughter, who is not adventurous at all in the kitchen!
I love Mexican food and good old home cooking. Muy bueno looks like it’d be a touch down for me!
Congrats on the wedding! I think I’d pick Weelicious: 140 Fast, Fresh, and Easy Recipes by Catherine McCord
Dying to read Smitten Kitchen — have been loving Deb’s blog almost as long as she’s been writing it. I always know I can count on her for a recipe that works.
I already have the Muy Bueno Cookbook on pre-order. I have cooked a LOT of their recipes featured on their blog, and every one is a winner and very popular at our family gatherings! So – of all the others, I would have to choose the other Mexican cookbook – Hugo Ortega’s Street Food of Mexico. Congratulations on getting married soon! VERY EXCITING! 🙂
Aida’s or The Smitten Kitchen…..I love both of them and can’t wait to see the books!
