So. Let me paint you a picture. A few weeks back when I should have been making pretty things for my wedding and baking cookies to put into gift bags for our guests, I decided I should check out Amazon and see what kind of cookbooks were due to come out this fall. Little did I know that I basically added every other book to my shopping cart and spent 2 hours reading about the fabulous cooks that are publishing books in the next few months.

I’m jazzed to say the least. Now that the wedding planning is over, and I can eat whatever I want again because I don’t need to fit into my dress, I’m so excited to get back into the kitchen and cook up a storm!
So, here’s the deal. I picked my 10 most favorite titles that are due out this fall. Some of them were just released, and others are coming out in the next month or so. And I love each and every one of them. And can’t wait to get my hands on them too! And I feel like you should have them too. So let’s do a little giveaway shall we? Just peruse the books that are below, and pick your most favorite one or the one that looks the most like you, leave a comment telling me which cookbook is totally your jam and when I get back from my honeymoon on September 10th, I’ll pick 3 winners and mail ya the books of your choice!!
Sound good?
Okay go!
Here’s the deal. I love Aida. She is one heck of an amazing person and a dear dear friend of mine. So you should totally have her book. Not to mention her recipes are spot on and I’m not just saying that. I was cooking her recipes way before we were friends. And I trust her recipes to a T!

Weelicious: 140 Fast, Fresh, and Easy Recipes by Catherine McCord

Don’t mind me while I disappear into this book for the next 3 months. It’s another gorgeous book with to die for recipes! With 3 generations of recipes going into this book, it’s sure to be a winner in your kitchen!

I’m obsessed with Yotam. I’m pretty sure if we met in real life we would be great friends. I mean, I love all of his food, so I would just assume that we’d be friends in real life too. Don’t ya think? 🙂 His last cookbook, Plenty, was the inspiration behind so many of my pre-wedding meals. His food is clean, healthy and always flavorful! I can’t wait to dig into his latest!

The Sprouted Kitchen: A Tastier Take on Whole Foods
Based on one of my all time favorite blogs, this cookbook dives into the whole grains, whole foods and whole lotta vegetables. Plus the photography is breathtaking!

I mean, who doesn’t know Deb and her fab recipes!! I can’t wait to get this one into my hot little hands and start cooking and baking up a storm a la Deb!

Hugo Ortega’s Street Food of Mexico
I think I was meant to spend half of the year in Mexico. I’m just obsessed with Mexican cuisine. (I mean, guacamole in particular – but I love everything else too!) This cookbook, by Hugo Ortega just screamed my name when I came across it on Amazon. I think a street food adventure in Mexico sounds like something I was meant to do!

True Food: Seasonal, Sustainable, Simple, Pure
Have you guys ever been to True Food Kitchen? It’s one of my favorite restaurants here in Santa Monica. Want to know why? Because the food is fabulous and you actually leave feeling good! You’re not weighed down in greasy foods or stuffed to the brim with oversized portions. It’s just perfect. And this book is going to fit perfectly in my kitchen.

Have you guys had those life changing oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies? Well, those are the genius brainchild of my friend Jenny Flake!! And she’s got a new book to go along with her fabulous blog! Jenny’s recipes are fun, playful, delicious and totally good for families! And the photos are gorgeous. Especially because my BFFs, Matt Armendariz and Adam Pearson did the photography and food styling! I worked on set as a food styling assistant too… and let me tell ya, I taste tested each recipe after it came from from it’s beauty shot. Soooo good!

Pure Vanilla: Irresistible Recipes and Essential Techniques
And last, but certainly not least, let’s end with something super sweet from my girl Shauna, she’s a total doll! 🙂 With recipes like Honey-Vanilla Granola Clusters, Vanilla Sea Salt Caramels, and Vanilla Mojitos, I think this is going to fit perfectly into my cookbook collection!

Jerusalem: A Cookbook, definitely. I’ve had my eye on it since I heard it was coming out.
Love Pure Vanilla …. Have been looking at that book . Work in a Cafe at a sheila k-12 and I am trying to teach them what good food taste like. The school lunch program in our country is horrible and we need real cooks to show the kids another way . Thanks for your blog , I get many ideas I share with the kids .
They all sound good but I guess I choose keys To the kitchen.
muy bueno!
I would love to have Aida’s book!
Muy Bueno: Three Generations of Authentic Mexican Flavor would be my pick!
Street Food of Mexico….looks awesome. Addiction to recipes and cook books, there could be a worse problem.
Very intrigued about Jerusalem: A Cookbook!
I love the Muy Bueno Recipes! I would love a copy!
Weelicious…..very excited for that one!
I would love Aida Mollenkamp’s Keys to the Kitchen: The Essential Reference for Becoming a More Accomplished, Adventurous Cook. I’m getting married next year and need some great new recipes for my hubby-to-be! 🙂

Weelicious! Interested in many of them, but this gets my pick for having the cutest title of my favorites!
Well, I’ve already pre-ordered the Weelicious cookbook. I would love to try the Picky Palate to make meals my whole family will eat, including my picky 4 year old. The Smitten Kitchen book looks awesome too!
Oh, this is hard…I love cookbooks! I have 4 shelves of them in my kitchen, with more in the cupboards and in boxes. But, if I had to pick one, I’d say The Smitten Kitchen. Thanks for such an awesome giveaway!
I am obsessed with all foods with a Mexican flavor, so i vote for Muy Bueno! Besides, you are honeymooning in Mexicao–you can’t go wrong because the food is always great!
Muy Bueno looks amazing but so does the weelicious… and the vanilla one… yah that’d fit in my collection too! Thanks for the low down on what’s comin’… Looks like I’ll be browsing Amazon too. Enjoy Mexico 🙂
Oohh… I’d love all of them… probably Aida Mollenkamp’s most though. But, the Mexico street food one would be wonderful too. 🙂
This is a great giveaway idea! Happy to see someone loves to try new foods and recipes too. I try to eat as healthy and as “natural” as I possibly can on a budget — which means a lot of making my own food. Thankfully I really enjoy it! The Sprouted Kitchen or True Food cookbooks are right up my alley, and it would be a lovely surprise to get either of these.
Hard choice but since I’m trying to eat healthier I’d choose True Food. Enjoy your trip.
They all look good but I would love Aida Mullenkamp’s Keys to the Kitchen.
Such a great giveaway and such great choices you made.. But as I have been looking forward to the Sprouted Kitchen cookbook ever since they announced it one and a half years ago, it would have to be that one 🙂 (It has not yet been released here in Europe!)
Keys to the Kitchen looks like a great book to add to my collection. Thanks for the giveaway & I hope your honeymoon was blissful!

My pick would be Jerusalem, I am in love to death with his other cookbooks, so I’m sure this won’t disapoint!
All of them! But since I have to choose just one – True Food Kitchen cookbook. I have never been to the restaurant, but I love the idea of sustainable healthy foods 🙂
They all look great, but if I picked one it would be the Sprouted Kitchen cookbook!
I think that Sprouted Kitchen looks fantastic (but I added a whole bunch of them to my cart on Amazon so I’d be happy with any of them!)

WEELICIOUS!!!!! She has changed our family’s eating for the best!!!
I can’t decide…so you will have to decide for me between Jerusalem and True Food Kitchen.
I would probably pick Muy bueno. I relate to it because it reminds me of my Abuela (grandmother) and her cooking.
I am already a fan of Weelicious as my husband loves every recipe I try and my daughter…well, she’s getting there. I really need this book of yumminess.
