Normally for birthdays and special occasions I make big elaborate cakes but Thomas, my boyfriend, requested smores for his birthday party! I decided to put a little twist on the normal smore and instead of using graham crackers I made chocolate chip (pictured) and sugar cookies to make the top and bottom part of the smores! Thus the name Smookie’s… pronounced smooooooookies (Smores and Cookies… get it?) \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

\nIt can’t get much easier than this recipe! All you need to do is whip up a quick batch of your favorite cookies. Here is the recipe I used for Chocolate Chip Cookies. Once the cookies are baked and cooled you need 2 and then a marshmallow and a few chocolate chips.<\/p>\n

Once the smore is assembled wrap it in tin foil and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 5-8 minutes, just long enough to melt the chocolate chips and soften the marshmellow.
