Garlic Roasted Potatoes

Omg you guys! We have so much to talk about today. First, Happy Monday!!

A: How on earth is it already November?

B: Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Being the obsessively organized person I am, I have already planned my entire menu. (I did it in September) It’s going to be epic, and I’ll be sharing all the recipes here, well before the big day, so you have plenty of time to plan your menu too!

C: One of my all-time favorite people, Ree from The Pioneer Woman, just came out with her latest cookbook and I spent the entire weekend drooling over every recipe. It’s called The Pioneer Woman Cooks: A Year of Holidays: 140 Step-by-Step Recipes for Simple, Scrumptious CelebrationsĀ and I’ve decided that I’m inviting myself over to her house for every holiday from here on out. Christmas, New Years, Valentine’s Day, Easter… you name it… all of her holiday menus are out of this world!

D: In honor of Ree’s gorgeous new book, she is offering up Ā 3 signed copies!! Boooyah! We’re kicking off Monday with a bang.

E: I made a batch of her Garlic Roasted PotatoesĀ yesterday and proceeded to fight my husband over who got the last bite. They are game changers – that is for sure!

F: If you haven’t already ordered yourself a copy, you absolutely should!! Like I said, this book is LOADED with fantastic holiday recipes for an entire calendar year, and each page is infused with Ree’s bubbly personality and humor. I’d like to jump right in and live somewhere between Christmas and 4 of July!

  1. I love that Thanksgiving is family time without the stress that Christmas always brings. And the food doesn’t hurt šŸ™‚

  2. I am mostly looking forward to spending time with family and cooking, my favorite dish to make & eat is cornbread stuffing!! I also love pumpkin pie!

  3. I love ALL the food……….turkey and ALL the fixins, plus the desserts are delish. …my favorite dessert is Pecan Pie and of course the time spent with family and friends

  4. looking forward to have our whole family together for a nice holiday time – the first since Mother went to live in an assisted living apartment; my husband survived a massive heart attack in August; a cousin will be joining us this year (her mother suffers from advanced Alztheimer’s); our youngest son and his family will get to come this year for the first time in several years; a great-niece and her new family will be there and will reveal the sex of their baby-in-waiting. All in all we anticipate over 30 at this very special Thanksgiving weekend gathering when we celebrate family with very thankful hearts. Each person is to bring their own special holiday dish – I am responsible for the dressing – I make it much like our grandmother made it – she taught me, so it should be good like her’s always was.
Ree’s new holiday cook book is on my wish list for Christmas – my hubby and son have already been notified.

  5. Honoring my Dad. Thanksgiving was always “his”holiday. Each year he made his special stuffing and fussed over the turkey until it was golden brown and delicious. Now that he’s passed, I try to carry on his traditions each Thanksgiving and I feel close in spirit to him.

  6. Love when the family is all together, bustling around the kitchen to get a fantastic meal on the table, and then we stuff ourselves silly!

  7. Canadian Thanksgiving has come and gone but I love preparing dinner for my loved ones. Ree’s cranberry sauce was a real hit at our Thanksgiving table!

  8. Spending time with family and friends. Not to mention all the good food we always eat way too much of. LOL Thanks for the give away.

  9. to gather with family and friends and give thanks for this past year.Pray for a speedy recovery for all ill and ones that cannot be with us.
To share all of our special favorite dishes with all that we made.

  10. Definitely the way it feels this time of year- all nice & cozy, gorgeous weather for this Floridian, family love bringing everyone together- some of which you may not see all year :), I love to cook & fill everyone’s belly’s with happiness and I have to say the extra moments we get to reflect on Thankfulness, enjoying that time with each other & creating yet another memory <3

  11. I’m from Canada, so we already had thanksgiving. But my favourite part is hanging out in the delicious-smelling kitchen and learning the family-favourite recipes that my dad and mom make! Stuffing… gravy…. *drool!*

  12. I look forward to the family gathering around the table, the turkey and dressing, and then the wonderful pecan and pumpkin pies!

  13. My favourite thing is working the soup line at the local mission on this day of thanks.
Seeing the less fortunate enjoying good food served with love just like those blessed
to do so with their family and friends is most humbling for me and makes me that much
more grateful for my own circumstances. God is good!
